Axiom STARS Application Due June 30
Humans have been living and working in space for 20 years. The International Space Station (ISS), orbiting at ~ 260 miles above Earth at 17,500 mph has been an international treasure for experimentation and discovery. The unique weightless environment, commonly known as “microgravity,” is a result of the space station’s continuous freefall. Over 3,000 experiments conducted on the space station have unveiled novel insights about biological and physical phenomenon and inspired more investigations.
Space is not only a place of discovery, but also a place for innovation and invention. Today, Axiom Space is building the first commercial space station which will launch into low Earth orbit in 2024. Axiom Station will be home to state-of-the-art technology which can be used for conducting research in space, manufacturing products in space, and capturing Earth observation data.
Axiom Station will also be a home to private citizens. And this home will come with the best view. Can you imagine yourself sitting in the Axiom Earth Observatory or in the privacy of your crew habitat staring out the window circling the globe every 90 minutes? What will you imagine in those moments. What ideas will those firing neurons lead to?
