AIBS: Enter the 10th Annual Faces of Biology Photo Contest
Enter the Faces of Biology Photo Contest for your chance to win $250 and to have your photo appear on the cover of the journal BioScience. The competition, sponsored by the American Institute of Biological Sciences (AIBS), recognizes scientists who use imagery to communicate aspects of biological research to the public and policymakers. “Telling the story of science can often be enhanced through imagery. A great picture can educate and inspire,” said Robert Gropp, Executive Director of AIBS. “We have been working hard to help scientists strengthen their communication skills. Part of this has always involved challenging individuals to think creatively about how to share their excitement for their science with new audiences.” Photo credit: Michelle Jewell The theme of the contest is “Faces of Biology.” Photographs entered into the competition must depict a person, such as a scientist, technician, or student, engaging in biological research.
